Some State sections of SCAA organize classroom courses in Surface Coatings.  

Victorian Section are currently conducting a one year Certificate course in “Surface Coatings Technology” for chemists entering the industry.

NSW Section have introduced a new course "Vocational Diploma in Surface Coatings Technology" at Granville TAFE, which commenced in April 2010.
